Signs of a Good Realtionship
Some of us are so used to being in crazy relationships, that when we do get in a good one, we're not sure if it's "normal" behaviour. So to help I'm listing a couple signs to check for.
You don’t mind yelling
Have you ever been in a relationship in which you were silent? You never got mad at the guy because…you couldn’t. There wasn’t enough room in the relationship for two hot heads–and he got to fill that role. If you find yourself complaining to your current man, stop and think about this: you’re comfortable speaking up to him. You’re not afraid it will end the relationship or culminate in a blowup. It’s no fun to be mad, but it’s good to feel you are allowed to be.
You don’t miss him
You go on about your day, you go to work, you have dinner with friends and then you realize, “Oh yeah, I wonder how my man’s doing…” This doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t feel strongly for him. Think about this: have you been in relationships that were so tumultuous that you could barely focus on anything else? If you can live your life and put your man out of your mind sometimes, that means your relationship is not destructive for your life
You forget your meltdowns.
Whatever the reason for your breakdown in front of him, you wake up and it's not uncomfortable. That’s because you’re with a man who accepts you for who you are—he doesn’t freak out because you, well, freak out. He doesn’t make you feel silly for acting silly sometimes. Surely you’ve been with men who you felt humiliated for having a meltdown in front of, humiliated for days. It shouldn’t be that way.
You don’t need sex
If you’re happy to go a few days without sex, that doesn’t mean there’s no passion. Think about other relationships in which, if there was no sex for a few days, you became irritable, frustrated, and felt distant from your man. If that was the case, your relationship was more about sex than anything else. So, if you can go a few days without sex and you’re perfectly happy, and still want to be around your man, then there is something deeper than the physical there.
You’re silent a lot
With some men, if you don’t talk much, you start to get nervous and feel you are drifting apart—that there is no substance to your relationship. But, if you can be silent with your man for even hours, without getting nervous, that means you have a connection that remains even in silence. And this does not include silence with a whole bunch of uncomfortable angry tension.
Your failures don’t bother you
Have you noticed that, if you got in trouble at work, or didn’t get a project you wanted to be assigned to, you’re not upset by it? If that’s the case, then you’re seriously in love. When you experience real love, you realize how important it is—that it’s more important than most other things. You’re so in love that, time is going by too fast. You don’t want to waste it on being upset over things that won’t matter at the end of your life.
You talk about exes
If you can talk extensively about exes, without anyone feeling uncomfortable or jealous, that means you both feel completely secure in the fact that the other person wants you—just you.
You are open
You can speak about any and everything. even the most ridiculous topics with him and you don't feel like a fool or like it's a bother. He's actually into the conversations.
A Little to hard to swallow
Men and women lie – there’s no doubt about that. I’m not sure if there’s ever a good excuse for lying, but we may always be able to offer a “reason.” In my opinion it comes from trying to spare feelings. So listed below are some reasons your boo may lie about just to keep the peace.
You're not fat!!
If he loves you, he doesn't want to hurt your feelings, and weight is a touchy topic, so even though he may be thinking you've put on a couple pounds, he's going to spare your feelings and his health lol and just tell a little lie. Body issues are common in both men and women, and no one wants to be told they’re fat, balding, droopy or saggy. But trust me, if you have mirrors or a scale in your house, you don’t need to be told if you’ve gained a few pounds, so don’t ask him if you look fat. Just let him grab onto those love handles or hit the gym.
You’re a Great Cook

You’re a Great Cook
If you can’t boil an egg, don’t subject your man to your cooking and make him lie about how great dinner was. If your steak is tough as leather or your cookies are burnt to a crisp – toss it and eat out. He may choke your food down to make you happy, but at the end of the day, you know it’s so terrible that you wouldn’t even feed it to your dog. Take cooking classes or ask his mother for the family recipe and put this man out of his misery.
I Didn’t Get Your Text
Man, yes you did, you were just out with Shawn and they and didn’t want to be disturbed. But men think you’ll freak out if he actually tells you that he wants to spend time AWAY from you, so he conveniently blames his wack service or his bootleg phone for his not getting back to you and telling you where he was for the past hour or two hours. I mean, he could also be with his side chick, but for the purposes of this article, we’ll just give him the benefit of the doubt that he simply wanted some “guy” or “me” time.
I Have to Work Late
Along the same lines of not wanting to be found, it’s easier for him to tell you in advance when he’ll be unreachable so that he doesn’t have to explain his whereabouts later. Chances are, he knows you won’t disturb him at work, so he has a few hours to play uninterrupted. Again, he could be up to no good, but he could also simply want to hit the bar with his boys, or unwind before going home.
I’ll Call You
Now, if you’ve just met, or were a one night stand, he may tell you he’ll call you just to be polite. Most times when a man says he’ll call, he means he MIGHT call. No man, unless he’s a complete jerk off, will blatantly chuck up the deuces and state that he WON’T call you, it’s just a phrase men use in a parting situation that doesn’t make him seem like a jerk. If a man you’ve just met says this, don’t wait by the phone. If he DOES call, great. If not, keep it moving honey.
It’s Not You, It’s me
Another time a man doesn’t want to come off as a jerk is during a breakup. No one wants to be the bad guy when breaking up with someone, men and women alike, so he’ll say this to keep your feelings. He’ll say, “You deserve better” or “I’m simply not ready for a great woman like you,” or "you should experience things before you settle", when really he wants to say" “You’re a psycho, leave me alone!” If a guy uses this line on you, don’t cry and move on. He’s giving you an out with some dignity. Take it.
I Wasn’t Looking at Her…
The funny thing about a man denying that he was looking at a woman’s breasts, bum or any other body part is that usually, his woman saw her coming a mile away LONG before he did. It’s pointless to try to convince your lady that you didn’t see the chick with the donkey booty or CoCo implants, because most men don’t even realize they’re doing it until they turn around to see their girlfriend or wife giving them the side eye. We know men are visual, we know you’re going to look – just try not to break your neck doing it while we’re on your arm. That’s just rude.
I Love You (Too)
This lie is usually told as a last resort to get himself out of some sort of trouble – or if he doesn’t want to hurt your feelings if you’ve professed your love first. Sometimes men also blurt this out in the heat of passion and then can’t take it back because he wants the sex to keep coming. If he doesn’t want to lose you and the sex is off the chain, sometimes a man will say he loves you so that you’ll stick around…even if he doesn’t quite mean it yet. This isn't to say that he doesn't love you or wont love you, just look at his actions to make sure they match his words.
You’re the Best Sex I’ve Ever Had
We all want to believe that no woman, besides us, has ever turned her man out. But that stripper he had a one night stand with just might have had a few more tricks up her sleeve than you do,but he’s not in love with her, he loves you – so he’ll tell you that no one has ever put it on him like you do. Most likely, the woman (or man) that we end up with is rarely the best sex we ever had, unless he was a virgin before he met you in which case you can believe that story and make sure it stays that way!

Things that you shouldn't have to remind him of....Take note
Making time for you. Let’s be real: while he may not have intentionally avoided calling you, you also didn’t just naturally pop into his mind. And that says enough. Wouldn’t you rather be with someone who thinks of you all on his own?
Calling-Same thing as above—he could have responded to your text, even if that was his only five minutes of free time at work that day. Could he have plugged his phone in and called or messaged you when he got home? Absolutely. Did he? Nope. He’s probably saying, “I like you, but I’m not going out of his way to let you know it.” Is this the kind of relationship or ‘situation’ you want?
Being involved- You can’t teach a man to be more sociable or care about things he doesn’t care about. And it is a big deal that he doesn’t make more of an effort to impress your friends and family. But to him, it isn’t.
Forgetting you're even there when you guys go out. He should at least check in occasionally.
Excuses, excuses
The harsh reality is, there are a million excuses for him to not do something. He was stressed, had a lot on his mind, distracted, his phone died, he was tired. But you know what? When a man really likes you, that trumps all. He may slip up once in a blue moon in one of the ways mentioned in this list, but if he consistently forgets to do those things, you may have to question how deep his feelings are for you

Confused or Denial
Damn for awhile now I've been seeing and hearing of people who "don't know where they stand in their relationship".... Ummm bs!
You do know where you stand, you just don't want to accept/acknowledge that.
If you're in and he/she is out. Then yall don't have a relationship. If both of yall have one foot in, then you don't have a relationship, unless that's what you agreed on. If nobody even brought up a relationship, and yall had a fling or some feelings, yall dont have a damn relationship, stop stressing like you do!!
And if you reallllly are confused then let me help
COMMUNICATION!
Talk to the other person and find out exactly where he/ she stands, not where they are gonna be standing three, four years down the line. If you aren't satisfied with the answer, then you know! And don't let nobody bs you into thinking that "why we talking about this? I'm sure you listening to your friends"... That's really just "easing my way out of answering this so I don't f up some pussy". You have a right to know if you are wasting time. And a man who isn't wasting time with you, will have no problem speaking about important aspects of your relationship.
You shouldn't be in a position where you're wondering about whether or not you're loved, or where you stand. Those are detrimental aspects of a relationship. So my advise, sit down and talk. And think with your head when making the decision, based on the facts and not with the memories or your "parts".
